Summer Intensive 2026

DESCRIPTION

The Summer Intensive is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the work with an ensemble of like minded actors looking to deepen their understanding of the technique how to apply it to text. We work from a common text so that we are able to delve into the elements of the work that we cannot often get to in a traditional class, such as objective atmosphere and relationship gestures, ensemble building, and group improvisation. In 2025 we welcomed guest faculty John McManus who brought us voice training, and in 2026 we will invite back both John and Fern Sloan, who will bring masterful expertise from her 40 years with the work! Combining disciplines, it is a comprehensive training that is aimed at training the actor to be highly attuned to the psychophysical process. The Summer Intensive is all about application, so whether you have studied some of the basics in another class or you have tried to bring this work into rehearsal, this course will offer you practice at assimilation and experience in bringing this work to the page.
