DESCRIPTION

Since the studio opened in 2020, we have been gearing ourselves up for this very program, and now it is here. This is an immersive part time training program designed for the actor who wants to train vigorously and consistently in the Chekhov work. We will commit to a rigorous schedule but will account for jobs and other obligations and with time in between classes for gestation and incorporation. We will work in three sections, with some interruptions to accommodate visiting faculty. 1st section: The Actor’s Instrument 2nd section: Approaching Material & Character 3rd section: Making Choices & Ensemble work *for more details on the curriculum, please feel free to inquire: chekhovnyc@gmail.com Your consistent faculty will be Bethany Caputo for Acting and John McManus for Voice. We will also have a rotating guest faculty that will be announced closer to the start of the course, but some of the potential offerings might involve Spacial Dynamics, Clown, and On Camera work. And if we are able to coax Fern Sloan down to teach a time or two, we certainly will!
