DESCRIPTION

This is our 2nd year offering the Immersive Training Program. It is the studio's most comprehensive course in integrating Chekhov's Psychophysical Approach to Actor Training. This is a three month part time program designed for the actor who wants to incorporate Chekhov's principles and training tools into their process vigorously and consistently. We will cover two full days and a half day of training each week, so as to work around jobs and other obligations, whilst committing to a rigorous schedule with time in between for gestation and incorporation. We will work in three sections: 1st section: The Actor’s Instrument 2nd section: Approaching Material & Character 3rd section: Making Choices & Ensemble work Your consistent faculty will be Bethany Caputo for Acting and John McManus for Voice. We also have a regular slot for guest faculty and this year we are excited to welcome Kathleen McNenny, a Certified Lucid Body Practitioner, Mask Teacher, and on faculty at The Julliard School. Finally, we hope to have at least one masterclass with Fern Sloan. Fern is in her 90's now and a cherished and legendary practitioner and teacher of the work; we hope she is able to join us.
